The shop was established in 1958 by Ada Westover, one of Florida’s most beloved floral designers. In 1981, the shop was purchased by the Bechtelheimers. Tricia Bechtelheimer and her staff continue to ensure that Westover’s tradition is carried on through the work of their design team. Their goal is to provide you with the very best floral products, gifts and accessories available in today’s market.

In 1996, the Bechtelheimers purchased a new location for Westover’s Flowers & Gifts, the historic home of the first woman mayor in the state of Florida, Lena Culver Hawkins. We are now proud to be a wonderful part of the perfect shopping day experience, located at 510 East Liberty Street. Along with us, in the Hawkins House, is Mallie Kyla’s Café, a Southern Living Award winner, and The Paper Porch, the local Vera Bradley retailer. Across the street is Roger’s Christmas House and minutes away is historic downtown Brooksville.
